Partners at the PPZ Hanover: Hanover Medical School and Bettina Harms GmbH<\/h4><\/div>

Since 2018, the Hanover Nursing Practice Centre has been involved in setting up a \u2018ward of the future\u2019 in the acute inpatient setting of a university hospital as part of a research project. By using innovative technologies, we aimed to improve the care of patients and support professional carers in their day-to-day work. The focus was on the areas of pressure ulcer and fall prevention, cognitive limitations and work organisation. The technologies were always selected and introduced together with the nursing staff of the project ward, a normal trauma surgery ward with a focus on geriatric traumatology. By creating and implementing training programmes, we have also helped to promote technical skills among nursing staff.<\/p>\n

In recent years, we have regularly organised events at which we have also shared our experiences with the interested public. Our purpose-built experimental room on the campus of Hannover Medical School (MHH) offers the opportunity not only to learn about innovative technologies, but also to try them out for yourself. True to our motto: \u2018Care technologies should be experienced!\u2019.<\/p>\n

As part of the follow-up project \u2018Cluster Zukunft der Pflege 2.0\u2019, we would like to bring care technologies to other facilities on the basis of a transfer concept. We would like to use our knowledge to support outpatient care facilities and early rehabilitation centres in northern Germany in the integration of innovative technologies and assist with their implementation.<\/p>\n

A key component of this is the digital skills development of care professionals, carers and their relatives and other target groups.<\/p>\n<\/div>

New practice partner: Bettina Harms GmbH<\/h3><\/div>

Bettina Harms GmbH has been supporting people in need of care in the district of Gifhorn and in Wolfsburg since 1994. Around 400 staff members support clients with outpatient care, domestic help, personal care, in day care centres and in supported shared accommodation. The company combines professional expertise with a caring approach, guided by five core principles: cost-effectiveness, quality, staff satisfaction, client satisfaction and innovation.<\/p>\n

Within the \u2018Zukunft der Pflege\u2019 cluster, Bettina Harms GmbH is contributing its many years of practical experience to develop new solutions for the care of tomorrow, in collaboration with the Nursing Practice Centre Hanover and Hanover Medical School.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Bettina Harms GmbH does not simply want to learn about innovations, but to actively help shape, test and integrate them in a sustainable way.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Digitalisation should put people at the centre. Technology must not replace human connection, but rather enable it. The aim is to provide modern, humane and sustainable care that empowers staff, gives clients a sense of security and creates the space for genuine care and attention.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
