Nursing Practice Centre Berlin

Partners in the PPZ Berlin: Charité University Hospital Berlin, Hanse Institute Oldenburg, Pflegewohnhaus am Waldkrankenhaus gGmbH and Ambulanter Pflegedienst Martina Baltz GmbH

The PPZ Berlin integrates innovative technology into everyday care. From hospital to home care, technology will support the care process. The aim is to reduce overuse, underuse and misuse, especially in the transition between forms of care. The active involvement of carers ensures that technology supports care – and does not dominate it.

For us, care means supporting people where they feel most at home – with respect, trust and a focus on their very personal needs. For almost 30 years, we have been combining professional expertise with genuine humanity, tailoring our care to be as individual as the people we support.

With over 200 staff and around 30 trainees, we are shaping the care of today – whilst investing in the care of tomorrow. At our sites in Anklam, Wolgast, Zinnowitz, Katzow and Mahlzow, we offer home care, day care, intensive care and palliative care residential communities, as well as supported living. Our focus is not on rigid procedures, but on people’s wishes, habits and life stories. At the same time, we place great importance on an employee-focused corporate culture, because we are convinced that only satisfied staff can provide care with compassion and quality.

Our aim is to provide care that thinks in modern terms, acts with humanity and is open to new ideas. Together within the ‘Zukunft der Pflege’ cluster, we want to help develop practical innovations and actively shape the care of tomorrow.

Because we are convinced that the best ideas emerge when practice, science and technology work together to find solutions. We want to contribute our experience from day-to-day care, learn from one another and play an active role in shaping innovation.

We want to enable people to lead as independent a life as possible. This requires personalised care, strong teams and the courage to break new ground – always putting people first.

Digital solutions should serve people – not the other way round. They should cut red tape, ease the workload on staff and free up more time for what care is all about: closeness, care and personal interactions.
