9th Conference on the Future of Care
April 13 & 14, 2027, in Hanover
Rethinking Nursing Practice: competent, evidence-based and connected
Digitalization in nursing opens up a wide range of promising opportunities. Selecting appropriate technologies, implementing them, and ensuring their sustainable use remain challenging across the various nursing care settings. Nursing practice faces the question of how digital solutions can meaningfully support day-to-day nursing care and what skills are necessary to achieve this. Meanwhile, academia and policymakers are addressing the question of how digital transformation processes can be supported in a sustainable manner. This constitutes the primary mission of the “Future of Care” cluster, funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology, and Space (BMFTR).
The 9th “Zukunft der Pflege” Conference will therefore focus on three central pillars for a sustainable digital care practice:
All target groups are invited, in particular the following:
- Caregivers, trainees and students from all care settings (acute care, long-term care, outpatient care, community health, rehabilitation)
- Clinical supervisors, nursing experts and nursing educators
- Those responsible for nursing organisation and management
- Academics with practical research experience
- Developers and providers of digital care technologies
- Other stakeholders who wish to help shape nursing practice to make it digital and future-proof
The call for abstracts is now open. The formats on offer include academic presentations, practical contributions, poster presentations, entries for a science slam and entries for the innovation competition. Further information can be found here.
